Caro internauta... Se sei approdato qui, vuol dire che conosci il progetto Chicken Awards...
Qualche tempo fa abbiamo preso la non facile decisione di spegnere il servizio, perché consapevoli di non riuscire a portarlo avanti come avremmo voluto e specialmente come questo progetto avrebbe meritato. Rilasceremo tutti i codici sorgente, rendendoli disponibili a chi vuole! Sentitevi liberi di utilizzarli come meglio credete, che sia per vostro diletto personale, per fare un secchio di soldi (cosa che avremmo voluto anche noi ma su cui abbiamo fallito), o per guadagnarvi l'approvazione di qualche nerd. Ci piacerebbe molto che, nel caso voleste usare quello che nel tempo abbiamo prodotto, ci contattaste in qualche modo, sia per insultarci sulle scelte fatte, che per chiarirvi qualche dubbio venutovi nel processo. Saremmo ultra-felici di sapere che qualcuno sta apprezzando il nostro lavoro, ma soprattuto le nostre idee.
Aggiorneremo questa pagina con i link ai sorgenti appena disponibili.
E ora, forse sarete curiosi di sapere che fine abbiamo fatto... Pronti? Via!
- @Rif_ è diventato un informatico di successo, ma di questo nessuno aveva dubbi. Tuttavia, si è perso tra le terre fredde e nevose di un piccolo paese montano... Egli sostiene di lavorare per un cliente americano, ma nessuno ha avuto il coraggio di andare a cercarlo per verificare.
- @Bbestia, al contrario, è andato al mare. Passa le sue giornate a girare in un camioncino pieno di attrezzi, vagando tra sabbia, melanzane fritte, mare e sole... troppo sole. Quando si fa rivedere, riporta il buonumore (e una discreta quantità di cibo) nel gruppo. Le belle notizie? Si è sposato e sta per diventare papà.
- @mikiplus ha fatto strada, almeno in senso figurato, visto che è fisicamente rimasto dov'era prima. Egli è presente in qualunque posto fisico o virtuale in cui è presente un server linux o windows. Attenti a seguire alla lettera tutte le sue indicazioni sulla gestione del sistema, o potrete salutare tutti i vostri dati.
- @darkmawi ha ridotto tutti i suoi impegni, pur mantenendo il carico di lavoro inalterato... Il risultato? Alterna due o tre sedi operative al massimo, ma nessuno lo ha mai visto spostarsi da una di esse, probabilmente ha scoperto un sistema per limitare i trasporti, o, com'egli stesso sostiene, è diventato puro codice.
- @rangemaster è diventato il massimo esperto e consigliere ufficiale del gruppo in materia di connessioni Internet. Se avete qualche problema, potete contattare lui, e se riuscirete a comprendere qualcosa tra le mille sigle alfanumeriche che vi sciorinerà, allora avrete risolto il vostro problema.
- @mico7 ha preso un bello zaino, ci ha messo dentro un po' di cose a caso prese dalla sua camera ed è partito per la Spagna. Da lì se ne è andato in giro per il mondo. Dice di lavorare come sviluppatore front-end di applicazioni per smartphone e tablet, ma tutti sono convinti che abbia ricevuto una cospicua eredità e abbia iniziato a girare il mondo. Tutto.
Tuttavia il sogno #DCM prosegue, e chissà, magari in futuro sentirete nuovamente parlare di noi...

Dear web surfer... If you landed here, it means you know the Chicken Awards project...
Some time ago we took the not so easy decision of shutting down the service, because we knew we would not be able to support it the way we wanted, and the way it deserved to be supported. We will release the source code of our project, for everybody. Feel free to use the code as you prefer, for fun or to become incredibly rich (that was our initial plan, but it didn't work out), or to gain some nerds' approvation. We would really appreciate that, if you use our code, you could reach to us someway either to insult us for our choices or to sort out any doubts you could have. We would be especially happy to know that somebody enjoys our work, and more importantly, our ideas.
We will update this page with the source links as soon as they will be ready.
And now, maybe you're curious to know where we ended up with our lives. Ready? Go!
- @Rif_ became a successful software engineer, but nobody had any doubt about that. However, he got lost in the cold and snowy lands of a tiny mountain town. He claims to work for an U.S. company, but nobody had the guts to find it to verify.
- @Bbestia, on the contrary, went to the sea. He lives his days in a van full of tools, roaming amongst the sand, fried aubergines and sun... Too much sun! When he shows up, brings back happines (and quite a lot of food) to the group. The best news? He's married, and about to become a dad.
- @mikiplus he walked a lot of road, at least figuratively, since he actually lives where he lived before. He is in every physical or virtual place where a linux or windows server can be found. Be careful to follow his directions on system management, or you could risk all your data.
- @darkmawi greatly reduced his duties, but kept the workload unaltered. In the end, he works in two or three places at most, but nobody ever saw him move from one place to the other. He probably figured out a way to limit transportation, or (as he claims) become "pure code".
- @rangemaster became the greatest expert and official counselor of the group about Internet connections. If you are in need, you can reach to him and if you're able to understand what he is saying, amongst all the abbreviations and alphanumeric abbreviations he'll shout at you, you will have solved your problem.
- @mico7 took a backpack, stuffed it with some stuff from his room and left to go to Spain. From there, he travels the world. He says he works as a front-end developer for tablet and smartphone apps, but everybody believes he got a conspicous inheritance and now he just travels the world. All of it.
Anyway, the #DCM dream goes on, and who knows, maybe you'll hear from us again in the future...
